Home equity loan (HELOC)

Put the equity you've built to work.

Home improvement loans are great for small projects, and a mortgage is for buying the house. When the job is bigger than one and you already own the other, a home equity line of credit is the right tool — from 7.75% APR.

What members use it for

One line of credit, many uses.

A HELOC puts the equity in your home to work, with convenience checks that let you draw on the line whenever you need it.

Bigger home improvements
The larger, more in-depth projects a small home improvement loan was never sized for.
Tuition or a dream trip
Help cover college tuition, or finally book the vacation you keep putting off.
Cash on hand for emergencies
Open the line before you need it, so the money is there the day something breaks.
What is a HELOC?

A credit limit secured by your home.

A home equity line of credit is a loan that uses your home as collateral, but it behaves more like a credit card than a mortgage: you get a limit, and you borrow any amount up to it — all at once, or a little at a time across the draw period.

10-year draw period
Borrow, repay, and borrow again for a full decade.
Up to 15 years to repay
Pay the balance down on a schedule that fits your budget.
Low or no closing costs
Opening a line costs far less than refinancing your first mortgage.
Up to 95% of appraised value
Home Equity Plus reaches 95% loan-to-value for qualified members.
$10,000 – $150,000 limits
Credit limits sized to the equity you've actually built.
Metro-area homes
Single-family, owner-occupied homes in Jackson, Clay, Cass and Platte counties (MO) and Johnson and Wyandotte counties (KS).
